SRI
Strategic Vision

The Institute’s vision is to be a Centre of Excellence for research and decision support for resource management and sustainable development throughout Ireland and beyond.

The Institute will pursue this vision by carrying out multi-disciplinary research to provide a robust and transparent evidence base for sustainable development decision making, applying systems thinking and industrial ecology principles together with synthesising expertise from a range of disciplines.

Mission Statement

The Institute will seek to carry out interdisciplinary research which recognises the fundamental links between society, economic development and the natural world, which provides the resources upon which all economic activities depend. The Institute aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from a wide range of disciplines to facilitate debate and cross fertilisation of ideas from academia, industry, government and advocacy organisations.

We are a virtual, internet based, not for profit institute co-ordinated by EnviroCentre with contributions from our partners and beyond.  SRI actively welcomes engagement and participation by a wide range of organisations and individuals.

Information and research outputs will be communicated through the website with project reports, technical and topic reports and publications made available with the aim of providing reliable data and information for decision makers, researchers and the public.
